Sallie Ford & TSO 'World Cafe' Session Airs

Sallie Ford & the Sound Outside, who've been building a word-of-mouth buzz since the release of their acclaimed Partisan Records debut, Dirty Radio, will be featured on NPR's World Cafe today, Tuesday, January 3. World Cafe, with host David Dye, can be heard on over 200 stations nationwide and airs daily between 2 and 4 pm EST. The audio archive will be available on the NPR website here.

As the World Cafe piece put it, "Boasting a mix of rockabilly, indie rock, jazz and Americana, Dirty Radio is a lovable and funny mixture of flavors that suggest Ford's significant influences, such as Etta James and Tom Waits."

2011 was a big year for Sallie and the guys, with breakthrough performances at SxSW, Bonnaroo, Newport Folk Fest, Trans Musicales and more. They made their late-night television debut on Late Night with David Letterman, and their uptempo, rockin' version of "Sleigh Bells" could be heard on Target's national TV campaign throughout the holiday season.
